In 2014, Wilsons stardom exploded over the pond in a more prominent way after she was cast as a character on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart who is a young, troubled woman with a dark past who gets involved with the husband of her dreams, Noah Solloway. The show also starring Maura Tierney as well as Joshua Jackson was a hit among viewers and critics alike and won Wilson the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2015. I was thrilled to be able to portray a character with two perspectives Wilson told British Vogue in 2015. Noah believes that Alison is an attractive, confident and reckless version of herself. Yet she views herself differently, as someone who is unassuming and pretentious from the inside. Wilson also stated that she believed America is morally skewed. Wilson has since left the show which was a shock to the fans. But, Wilson spoke in a very vague manner about further specifics.
